Helicopter Flying Lesson!

What a rad birthday present! Katie bought me a twenty minute helicopter flying lesson. Right? While we waited for the pilot to return to the airport in Dundee, Oregon, we made small talk with the wife and family of the pilot who were all outside putting down lots of McDonalds. The helicopter ride was a blast - just me, the pilot and Katie in this tiny plexiglass bubble, engine strapped on the back and no doors. We flew around the farmland in the area, where the pilot gave me some quick instructions and let me take control of the whirlybird. The controls were incredibly responsive and sensitive. Pictured here is said helicopter taking the next couple out for their tour.
