Japanther at Rotture

Funny to see how far some bands have come. Years and years ago I remember seeing Japanther at a fun but widely unknown DIY venue in Detroit. I think they must have played to all of about fifteen people when they came through. Tonight was a stark contrast to that memory as Rotture was packed ridiculously tight. I got the impression people were there more to be out than to see the band. At any rate, the show was really good. It was  refreshing to hear some positive themed punk rock. I like this shot because it’s more real to me than taking a picture of the band. A picture of the oil that makes the machine of the community work, I guess.
